Mater Mediterranea
The project is inspired by the archaic Mediterranean myth of universal value: Mother Earth, the goddess (worshipped by ancient civilizations) who embodies every aspect of life.
Prerequisite and fundamental feature of the project is the location of theatrical performances, concerts, workshops etc. in archaeological sites whose insertion is not foreign but adheres its projectual form to the "place" as if it was a "Dramaturgical Landscape". Peculiarity of the project, in fact, is that each site will host the various "scenic actions" in a different and unrepeatable way since each time it will take on the task of enhancing the space that will host the event, using the existing architectural features; a "natural setting" can therefore ideally accommodate a cultural event full of original and innovative creations, capable of enhancing the sites involved and bringing out situations of the popular and legendary heritage of Sardinia from the past, creating an optimal integration between the show of today and architecture of the past.
The shows will be itinerant or permanent and will be presented at different times of the day: at dawn, at sunset, at night; they will be realized through poetic images developing in dramatic paintings of strong visual and emotional impact offering a cross-section of a fascinating and mysterious world that remains in the balance between dream and conscience.
The shows will be accompanied by various activities concerning both the theater and the knowledge of the sites concerned with workshops, meetings and informational, educational and creative entertainment aimed at children, young people, adults and the elderly.
